    Uno Wedding

Tud mir leid, i forgot to mention that as our last working car karked it we then had no way to go to my friends wedding in leicester.  Trains were then £40 a person which at £80 is extortionate so having said bollox to yet another important thing in our lives we said we couldn't make it.  We were then reminded that National Express existed.  I've used it before a fair few times but have obviously pushed it out of my mind due to its bloody long journey time.  So as it was an important 'do' we then find out it would cost only £30 for us return, so here i am on the net checking train times, coach times and bus routes for our time up there, and maps.  I think I have all the bases covered now.  Back on the road again.  Back home in Leciester again. It will feel good I know
So lets forget all these problems, possibly break my no drinking rule on sat and no care about a thing but getting back to my mates house- with keys!

OK. So that my ranting done, understandable ranting I have to say, its not like I have just broken a nail (although I have 3 broken now )
Righty lets get this suitcase packed and tell the parents to fist themselves the way they are carrying on about me not being able to go to the wedding- you'd have thought they couldn't make it themselves! Anyway, I am now going and can escape their senior citizen crap.

I gotta say, I am going to have a damn good time up there. I intend to

    All the best guys
    Xx

2 Days after exams finish: I get a job :)

    What a lucky girl ay?
Finish exams on Monday, asked for an interview on Tues and got a 6 week placement in immigration and criminal work on wed.  Not bad ay?  Had I a response from a potential traineeship I would not have even blinked at it, but having not been snapped up there I was snapped up elsewhere.  After my first six weeks I will then be reviewed as to a Paralegal contract and what departments I would be needed in.  So I have 6 weeks in which to gain a traineeship or I will be locked in for another 6 months.  Just quick work is what is going through my mind.
So, knowing my job security by early afternoon Troy and I were viewing a flat in Belvedere by early evening.  Wow.  It was furnished and absolutely beautiful.  Closer to London and close to a train station.  You would then assume that as it is closer that the travel ticket would be cheaper, but no. it was £244 more expensive.  Reason?  I could not get to work purely by train unless I make it a 2 hour journey of longer by getting 3/4 trains each way.  Then compare that to just one train at 40 mins.  Big difference to our budget.  It was only £625 per month but after council tax and both our travel fares it wouldn't work to try and save a little each month to buying a house up in the midlands.  So our dream flat with parking and travel links was lost this morning.  We were due to sign the deal about an hour ago and move in next week after the wedding but no.  We will continue to look but just nearer the right train line.
Also we are now having yet more car troubles.  I could have kicked the absolute crap out of our xr2i last night.  To say I was fuming was nothing short of the truth.  We now have 3 cars and not one of the wankers works.  Please tell me the logic.  One is a boys project, the other was ragged til she didn't work by a 'mate' so now she has engine problems that are not financially viable to fix.  The last is supposed to by my car, might I add, my dream car that has this list of probs: Leaking radiator, leaking radiator pipe, air regulator is buggered and my passenger door has been crow barred in a previous owners time.  So.  Although the cars are not mine as we are partners they then become both our burdens.  May I add my person thought that the 'project' is a bottomless pit of expenses and is marked '666'.  So I know that when it is ready it still wont work, it has been ear marked (thru to no fault of the current mechanic).
Sometimes I really wonder what is in blokes head aside from: cars, beer/alcohol/porn/sex.  Does make me want to revert to my happy single self and use them the way they so obviously use women.
    So in conclusion:
    Cars = bollox
Houses = no closer to buying one (but is on horizon)
Blokes = General= 90% idiots.  Mine = That elusive partner you are scared that you will never find.  So= good.
Job = Really glad I've got it, met the staff, like them and the atmosphere.

    MotoGP

How good was the race today at Catalunya???
As per the last race Pedrosa comes out first off the grid then the first few laps everyone is together.  Halfway through the race and Pedrosa, Rossi, Hopkins and Stoner were together and the others tapered off.  Then Rossi creeps up on Hopkins, then Pedrosa and is behind Stoner until just 8 laps left.  By this point Hopkins had dropped back and it was Stoner then Rossi and Pedrosa keeping up.  All three within a bike's length of each other.  Pedrosa's braking stability into the corners prevents him from joining the battle that has now ensued between them.  Rossi tried to overtake Stoner about 4 times and Stoner came right back at him the second after Rossi did his moves.  The speeds at which these guys were overtaking each other were about 120-130 mph - around the corners.  Stoner, having the Ducati has the advantage on the straights so where Rossi succeeded in taking over Stoner takes it right back when coming over to the grid.
That was the most butt moving and exciting race I have ever seen.  Just the daddy.  So those who love racing and couldn't make it, if tv allows then try to grab highlights- it will def be worth it.

All the best all of you, those racers did just amazing.  Oh and sorry to hear Elias went out

Exams about to start- pens at the ready

Ok about to start my first exam tomorrow at 2pm in the Huuuuuge Excel building in the Docklands.  2 1/2 hours of employment law, followed by Professional Conduct on thurs and then back at the College the following monday for some Advanced Criminal. Then finito, nie mehr.
Exciting but nervous, no idea why as I have known exams since I was 5 years old!  And I am a fair few years older than that now- still young mind!
So if all of you could wish me just a little bit of luck with my exams- and the harder part yet- getting a traineeship then I would deeply appreciate it!  Traineeships are something close to the needle in a haystack, or being signed by a record label and just as easy to dump after the two years ends
    Cheers for your thoughts guys,

See you on the other side....
