9月17日 Well it's been some timeWell now, it looks like it has been some time since I have been on to my little site here. Please forgive me, only the matter of changing jobs twice, selling my beloved motorbike and my wedding and honeymoon took precedent. Since all these things have now passed by like the peverbial water under the bridge it has taken for me to fall ill with the flu for me to twiddle my thumbs whilst sleeping/snoozing for me to pop by here.
Thankfully I am now on the tail end of it, although I have been hoping for that to be the case every evening before I go to bed! I hope everyone who passes by is well and happy with what they have. Without sounding like Confusious (whoever it is spelt!) Want what you have, rather than making yourself feel inadeguate in wanting what you do not or cannot have.
Our wedding, incase the thought had passed your way, was the happiest day of my life so far. Neither of us could have asked for any more; the weather was perfect, blue skies, warm but not too hot, light breeze, friends and family attended, all went like clock work and all those employed for the day were making a grand time of it, smiling and laughing away with the rest of the guests. I managed to take video footage of Troy drinking with the lads and breaking out into laughter.
Months have now passed and normality has resumed, nothing changed in circumstance as we already live together - hey you don't know your partner's habits unless you've lived with them for a while! :)
We honeymooned in Dominican Republic which was beautiful. Just don't ask for anything from them, everything is 'tomorrow, tomorrow...' they don't seem to grasp the concept that you only have a set amount of days in their country, so, so long as everything is perfect then you will have the most relaxing time.
Righty I am going to go and rest up some more,
all the best
xx 2月3日 Public Transport:- So what's that then? If you live in England, particularly south east england then you will know what this byline is referring to without even reading a word of this blog. Psychic? No, just sick and tired of our public transport system. Here are common reasons for our train service not running on time, or indeed run at all:
This week i.e yesterday and today the reason selected was number 4. Quite a few inches of snow fell over Sunday night and Monday leaving us without the use of our cars, bikes and even public transport. Now let's state the obvious: the government is trying to get us to use publi transport. Now pray tell me this Mr 'President' of 'Britain' how can we use public transport when - (a) it isn't running at all (b) it cannot cope with rush hour traffic as it stands at the moment (c) so many delays occur unannounced that people would be late for work and therefore receive disciplinaries Lets also not forget the fact that although we are in financial troubles we also have to build and host an amazing olypics, add the fact that English workmen have somehow got to actually finish on time. How will our transport system cope with all these extra bodies when it cannot cope at the moment? Lets move on. Norway, Sweden and other countries such as Canada do get quite nippy and get many feet of snow. They also have nice warm summers. When the weather sneezes their transport system doesn't break down. When the temperatures reach -25 and below, the transport system pays no heed. Why therefore when they have a wider range of temperatures are our politicians saying that we are encountering 'such adverse and extreme conditions' may I ask? Any why, when other countries technologies with coping with all of this is available to see, is our transport system so _____ (fill the blank). Transport leaders and politicians state that we need investment before we can see improvements, now this has been said for many a year and this country is in so much debt it is as long as a time warp from Quantum Leap. Our commuters pay price hikes each January for less trains, trains with less carriages and delays. Pray tell when this investment we have all been paying into will occur? So ladies and gentlemen, this is my argument, and one that I am sure that many of us hold. As like tens of thoudands, and yesterday, millions of workers, I am yet again, unable to go to work to do my job. Many thanks 1月23日 Not Long now until the 'Big Day'Well it's about 14 weeks tomorrow that I say those very famous words, no, not f^*kwit, or f' off, but 'I do'.
Exciting stuff. I appear to be bouncing around everywhere and have this stupid inane grin on my face, and all sorts of wedding paraphenalia keeps popping through the post everyday.
Nerves? Sure, but no doubts, just so excited that after putting vague plans into place almost a year ago now, things seemed to have picked up speed and gone into more detail. If anyone else is organising their own wedding, then the key piece of advice I would offer is to be organised. This prevents those awful problems occuring. Can't quite say that it stops your mother getting on your perverbial, but that, only ductape can solve
These wedding things, very expensive they are, let me tell ya that much. Ours is a very small and subdued affair but those pounds (forget pennies!!) are clocking up. I'm sure it will be a beautiful and wonderful day but most of all, it will be our day made the way we both want. Believe it or not but I think involving the groom more than instructing him to turn up with a suit at a given place and time saying the words 'I do' at the right moment is a good idea. Honestly? Yep, some may not be very helpful, give a blank look or give that 'sigh' but hey- girls- at least you can say that you tried
Well, my only problem is the dress. In short, my mother has sown so many doubts and forced ideas into my head that I'm seriously considering turnig up in my PJs
Hell- at least I'll be confortable!!
xx 6月20日 Waiting, wishing, worryingOK, now it has been damn long enough in between jobs. I am bored stiff. Truly bored, I've walked up the walls and cleaned my bikes underparts enough times to see my face in them! Getting a job offer from a career position that I could be in for what may be the rest of my life is v lucky and I am very thankful. I know that I can do the job and will be given training which is grand, but knowing I have to wait a full month before starting was almost unbearable. I'm telling ya, I cannot do that housewife stuff, being at home all day everyday drives me nuts. I hear you thinking 'well why dont you get out, go for a ride or go shopping or something??'. The answer to this my friends is quite simple: money/Geld/cash/the grease that makes the world go round. What with everyones's incomes feeling the pinch of higher mortgage repayments, energy bills, food shopping bills and petrol, it's crippling. All the money I had left from my previous job has gone on bills and wedding bits and bobs so my partner and I are having to survive off his income. Hence my friends, trying not to live out of his pocket and going out spending money on petrol, or public transport fares...
A VIP q I have if anyone happens to live near Bexley, Kent, England- then by God help me find a place I can have my wedding reception!! All these places are quoting thousands of pounds just to hire a hall and another thousand plus to have food, bloody crazy!! So for the past four weeks of solid searching I have found one place reasonable but no room for a DJ, so that's not a reception really now is it? So I either badly need to win the lottery (I don't enter it) or just have some poor show
Oh well, enough moaning- I have a roof over my head no? A family, friends and eventually a job, so what the @%*& am I moaning for??!
Xx 6月2日 New Job and organising the big 'W'Its been a little while since finishing working in Mayfair and I have another 2-3 weeks before I start my new job so I'm utilising the time to organise the wedding. Its under 11 months now but I've managed to sort a lot out already, its all go go go
It was my previous Supervisors wedding on Saturday, it was fantastic, great to see all the old crew back together and having a good time. I only hope my big day works out just as good
It's been a while since I've been on here and messenger, but all is good, life is well :)
I hope you are all doing good, take care everyone
XxXx 3月6日 Ms Biker WomanSo ladies and gentlemen I am about to embark on the most expensive purchase in my little life.
Hyosung Comet 2003 bike. A beautiful bike which I will test drive and buy this coming saturday morning. Brum brum brum! I have the majority of the gear already, insurance quote in place so I just need to make that call, the payment and those keys Mr Bat Bikes.
Lovely. Lets hope it is a nice day on sat and not piddling it down!
If you see someone in the kent area with a yellow bike and a pink and grey helmet- cest moi!
Xx 11月2日 General ramblings really...Hey,
All is going well over here, not much been happening, the usual work long hours, stress from work, sleep and eat really, oh yeah and house chores- always hey?!
The house is good, Troy and I are good as are the family and friends so all is groovy I'd say.
The little news there is is that it is my birthday on Sunday. My 24th aww. Still a baby I know, and on the right side of 25! Not much planned, just a pub night on sat and the family thing on Sunday, very boring I know! I already have a pressie from my lovely; a mature Bonzai tree, a Chinese Elm. It is beautiful, I love it. I've always wanted one but never had one so it will be great to see how it grows.
As for you guys- where have you been teh past few months- Witton you have been busy- so what's been going on, sorry to hear about things Mona, but everyone else- get in touch ye nutters!
See ya at the Law Society HQ Mona and Tess!
Xx 10月8日 Plod plod plodding alongEverything is settling down now, well, relatively speaking it is!
The engagement party/house warming went really well, everyone including ourselves had a great time.
I am settled in my job and getting used to the long hours (out at 8am back at 7:30pm).
Casey Stoner won the MotoGP championship, well done and well deserved although it took away the limelight from Capirossi from winning the race. Yamaha once again not up the very top, I'd be more than miffed if I was Rossi, no time to be resigned yet as Pedrosa is hot in his heels.
Toseland just won the WSB championship, the last race I believe is this weekend? but he has won already as well. A good end to his last year in World Superbikes. I can't wait til he races against the likes of Stoner, Rossi and Pedrosa. I am looking forward to 2008 and just hope that Yamaha can pull their fingers out and not blame everything on a 'one tyre rule'.
These are really the only updates in the past lil while. Santana has brought out a new tune with Kroeger, quite a nice tune, but I do prefer the one they did together previously, only I thought it had something slightly more unique about it.
Upcoming events:
I have my post-grad degree ceremony this sat in London, not far from uni, lets hope the weather goes well and that majority of my friends passed to make it there that day.
Note to self: Still owe Feebs a meal... 8月31日 Settling inHey!
We have been in our new place for a week now, how time flies.... Troy has been on the graveyard shift and so we have barely seen each other aside from having dinner together. Next week is worse as we wont get a chance to talk at all, but we knew this awhen we signed up to the lease :(
We have unpacked almost every box and the place felt like home from day one. I have been out battling it with the truely overgrown ivy in the garden and am so far winning, but suffered an injury to my foot in the process. I was biten by a foreign insect that resembled a v small black leech, I had to go to the docs as my foot had then become infected. Now I am on antibotics but can thankfully walk without serious pain :) SO yep, gardening can cause casulties but I was out there again last night, contrary to Troy's wishes, determined that the forest will not get the better of me. The outcome? A vertually ivy free fence and a happy Fi. Our place will look gorgeous, just just us time.
Regarding a house warming, I fully intend to have one to celebrate all the fabulous things in my and Troy's life as of late and will post up the celebration date.
So this weekend I'll be having my darling dad over for Sunday to help out with a rotary line and then settle his feet up on the sofa with a beer and watch the racing- ahhhh. What more could a girl want?!! Fabulous, I cant wait for the banter of me seeing Pedrosa and Stoner right on up there (you will Danny, I'm telling ya!) and Rossi doing a fab job but somehow not making it. I would enjoy a good challenge from them. Sorry to see and hear all the probs Rossi has encountered these past two years and maybe before, I can't remember, but I wish him the best anyway.
OK guys, I am going back to work in a mo as we wont have the net in our house til next week, funny how we do have sky tho ay.... Men (tsk) lol.
Take care guys and all the best!
Xx Xx 8月21日 CountdownOnly 3 days until we move into our new property on Sat, can't wait.
Was looking over some documents sent to me from the Estate Agents, they don't half try to screw you over??! Exit fees, non refundable holding fees, charges for contacting with them... the list just does not end. I'm telling ya, I am going to have a word with this estate agent if she thinks we are paying all of that rubbish!
I haven't even checked out the Lease yet- oh but I will, and I will be having words to compromise as what I have seen is not on.
Researched utilities and an starting to get somewhere, but we will see, this girlie is not a lawyer for nothing!
Hows everything with you guys? I hope you are all good, take care XX 8月1日 Mixture of tricksWatch Rossi get knocked off his perch and the young Aussie move on
up. Good on ya Stoner. There is no denying that Rossi is a world
class racer and was the best of his time. No one can dispute that; his
style is indeed flawless and dedication was unmoved. In my view the
seriously depressing and frustrating outcome of last year's result,
whether due to Yamaha as well as Michelin seriously dented and wavered
his dedication to the Motorcycle sport. To my knowledge he is signed
up to MotoGP for 2008 but I think we all know that his interest has
wandered onto the mud caked racing sport that is car racing off track. Personally I am waiting for the arrival of Toseland from WSB to MotoGP. Now he will certainly pack a punch and I would love to see these guys race it out. On a note of motor racing, RIP to Ollie Bridewell at just 21 years old. My best wishes and condolences to your brother, family and friends. I may not have known you but I hope that you rest in peace. All the best guys Xx 5月31日 Exams and A Hen NightWell it is now just 5 days til my final exams start and 11 til they end. Compact. I have been revising my lil ass off and have complied masses of checklists, page and case references and think I am almost ready. I have been able to do the bare basic revision bits, only TUPE regulations to do now and then the real cramming starts, and mock exams. Lets see how they all go, I'm sure they will be fine, my whole life has consisted of exams and paperwork!! (lets hope it will be fine)
It was Glors' London Hen Night on sat eve, which was celebrated in Wapping in a posh restuarant. Dressed to the 9's and her with her halo and sash and 10 or more mates, we had a blast. Not knowing anyone but Glors at the start but that didn't put me off, by the end we were all having a great laugh, much to the annoyance to the other diners, yeah we could give you curry SXOC'ers something to challenge!! So songs were sung, paper everywhere, L plates all over the table and balloons, and a free bottle of wine- heck I'm breaking my no drinking rule
Had to then dash back to get the last train home from LB and wandered on home, stars all over my face!
So I have to thank Omaraka and Jo's for a top night, I hope Glors had a good time, it looked like it
Sorry I didn't stay over in Essex- but then it was Essex.... lol!
This may well be may last blog for a couple of weeks while I fly by the seam of my trousers to and fro my finals. Hope you are all good, see you around Xx 5月5日 Computer troubles and my first carI am sorry I haven't been onlne much for the past 2 weeks or so I have been having quite serious computer probs inc the blue screen of death, RAM probs and internet probs hence I've not been online, updated my site or chatted to anyone, and so I am sorry, pray forgive lil me.
So now it is safe to say computers and I aren't on happy terms with each other. I have neve shouted so any obsenities in my life before but now I have thanks to computers. So here I am now, at my partners house on his pc chilling out while he grabs dinner in his newly purchased car.
This is my dream car since I was 16, so you can gather my now it is quite old; about 10 years old. It is (drum roll please) an XR2i. And I love her. Very much. She has what is to be expected of aging signs but only a very small amount of rust on the boot lock. She is the best thing since sliced bread and perfect for a first car as she is nippy and small for me to easily control. So yep if you see me knocking about just wave hello there!!
Also in my absence I have been to the Astoria to see Linkin Park. I liked their first two albums and Jay-Z stuff so I thought yep, why not, as my bro cheekily enough wanted me to buy the tickets. It ended up being a fantastic night and they are only the 2nd band that I would say I would go to see again. They have so much energy and mingled with the crowd it was crazy, absolutely fantastic. Only problem is that it ended too soon. Def a good and see band everyone.
Righty I do believe dinner is served, so off I pop.
All the best
Xx 4月24日 Applications Off Off and away!!Hello all,
Just finished researching firms that I would want to work for
Come on guys! Sharon- you best look out girl coz Troy and I are going to take over that house of yours- moo ha ha ha!!! Glors- see you at the wedding, alongside the rest of our crew hopefully!!
Troy dear- you'd best be ready to settle down and buying a house with me for the rest of your life me dear, deal is you have whoever you like round same as me
Cant wait- will have a house warming, I'll send a mail round and we'll have an open bbq weekends, crash tis no prob
Since showing me a website about Pygmy goats we are going to have a couple in a few years
Oh yes- bring on our future, no matter where you are in the UK we are never far away. :)
I'll see you soon Leicester, my home 4月5日 This Has to be DoneYesterday was the day when Damien Bodie on Neighbours went half naked on screen. Now I dont usually bother or care much for half naked people but this I give an exception for.
Brightened up my lunchtime lol! I'm not into the traditional model man, in my eyes they are actually quite horrible- honestly, the equivalent to a size 0 stick woman. I'm much more into your average guy that just takes care of himself, and preferably guys with long hair. So here comes a 21 year old (I think he is 21? And yes that makes me a cradle snatcher lol! not a dirty perv lol!) on my screen that is quite perfect, so I gotta give it to the man to say thanks for brightening up my day with your lovely lovely body and cheeky smile!
On other more monotonus points I am almost done with the uni work and concentrating on applications for traineeships. The traineeship part isn't boring it is the hours and hours of work of trying to put yourself down onto two sheets of paper that is somehow to sum up your personality that bores me. I know I have a brain, common sense, great client care and a good sense of humour and somehow my decades of knowledge pumped down my throat and personality is supposed to be reflected in two sheets fo A4 paper? Yeah. Right. I have no problem with interviews, just the application itself. I am dedicating this month to these handful of 4/5 applications and see how they go.
Wish me a luck, apparently I need a job in order to get a mortgage..... 3月26日 Hey guysHey everyone,
how are you all? I am terrible at going round everyones space and dropping lines, I think I average on once every 4 months! How bad am I? Slapped wrist that's for sure.
Well for those know know me you may be pleased to hear my ex-boss has finally paid me, yes indeedy- it has taken 4 months but we are square so that is cool. Big battle won there. And who do I have to thank but my own mum. Yep. You know when the mum gets invovled that things are getting serious! from one mum to another they know its war, and a week after she called her, a cheque arrives in the post. Not bad huh? Gotta love your mum no matter how different you are.
Not too much has happened otherwise, I am still having bad signal from 3 and was going to sort that out when I fell down with flu yesterday :( but at least I know how to get access to changing from 3g to 2g when I get my phone debranded. If you live in/around london and dont want to have to send you phone off or pay monthly bills... then try king mobile phones. I was recommended and will update as to how it goes when I rearrange to meet up and sort my phone out :) king does debranding, unlocking and other stuff so try them if you have probs with your phone.
So I am going to try to relax and get this flu over and done with as I am going to have to miss uni tonight and tomorrow night and in doing so miss a load of work which i wont get back. :( And have to work during the easter week where I have an assignment to do, the following weeks work to do and silly me wanted to go up to peterborough to see my God daughter for the very first time. She'll be 2 months tomorrow- bless. After Easter I wont get to see her until late June and that certainly isn't good enough. So this illness better go quick so I can work my ass off to go see her.
I hope you are all well, or on the mend, see you around and about online
All the best
Xx 3月9日 Whimsicle GobbledeegookOk, hello one and all.
Heard the DJ show down on Virgin this morn with a smirk on my face, and thanks to their antics I had some v dodgy looks directed at me- yes I look like this every morning! lol. Good clean fun- but come on Christian- bringing your toddler into it? thats harsh that is AND AND!- you inspired Suggs to do an impression of his nan for crying out loud! lol. Thank God I didn't hear the results ay? lol. Some of us have to work ya know
Not much has been happening in this part of the world. Just going to court for youth gang crimes and travelling to Winchester on Mon to court. You may see me around there if you are about the Crown Court area... although I dont want to know why you'd be there considering it is a court... hmm.
On other matters I have the time set aside for getting my ex boss to finally pay me my last invoice if it is the last thing I do, dec has come and gone and I mean business- oooooh!!!!!! Yes the handbags are coming out, being shaken free of dust and brandished for the big battle. Why not I say I say I say? good point- lets do it! And who's with me?!!! (tumbleweed flats across cyberspace) Cheers guys. Thanks a bunch
I realise my music has been the same for a lil while now and when fileden wishes to work again I may be able to put more music on here. i fancied Saturday Night by Nickelback this morn, got me in the mood to battle my case.
Anything been going on with anyone recently? Good bad- lets start a clan or even a clam, or quite possibly a dam. Whichever; I'm easy 2月16日 Funny as.... well, its funnyThis link was in a forum I saw and the link is absolutely classic.
It is from a Northern Radio Station that dumps partners for whatever reason live on air. Dangerous game, but absolutely classic this time.
Please just listen, sure made my day!
I hope you enjoy it too- let me know what you think! 1月29日 BOGOF!!If you would like a male stalker, about 30 years of age with a northern accent then please let me know.
This is not my first stalker but I am hoping he is the last. If he continues stalking then I may just have to post his address, email and phone number on every website possible and ask people to harrass him as much as he is me. I have been stressed out to the point of throwing up at night, him almost clinging to my leg begging not to leave him and many many sleepless nights and nightmares that he will appear outside my front door.
I have to warn ya M, if you continue this lark and think 'I'll carry on because it makes me feel better' you do not know me very well as I am not only a hard business woman but a woman you do not want crossed. You may still read my site once every so often, so I am telling you in black and teal: LEAVE ME ALONE. You will regret it.
No more of me being nice, I warned you in my letter never to contact me again as you have had enough chances. DO NOT CONTACT ME EVER AGAIN. I will get the lads round if you come down south. Be warned.
To everyone else, hello and I wish you all well
XxXx 1月26日 Lil insight...This is just a blog for those who visit my site but have absolutely no idea who I am, or just for those who I chat to but again, dont know much about me personally.
So I thought I'd blog a little bit about myself and you can know a bit more about the wacky author of this site.
If you have been visiting for a while you will gather that I like blue, since my themes always seem to have some form of blue in them. For those who are first timer's or fleeting visitors you will note from my front page that I am fairly into my music. So that much you haven't gained much insight. When you start delving around the site, you will see my dream list of things I would like to do; such as travel the world, own my own house, my own business and enjoy life. You will also note my immediate want list, for the things that are less dramatic. From these lists you will start to realise I am a biking chick but too skint to do much about it. Through my blogs you will get a feel of my silly sense of humour and one of the qualities that makes me good for my intended job. My impartiality and ability to see at least two sides to an argument. No I am not attempting to be a mediator, but a solicitor. Not an ambulance chaser 'have you had an accident...' (yes we all have at one point in our lives now f' off!) lol.
So what can I tell you outside of what you can gather for yourselves? Well what do you want to know? The basics? I'm a 23 year old ambitious female that lives in the suburbs of south east london. I studied at DMU in Leicester, some of the best times of my life have been made there. Ambitions that have taken my fancy over the years: hairdresser (we have all been there girls) eurpoean representative, German/English interperator, counsellor, masseuse, singer, solicitor and practical business advisor to companies. All the ideas I still think are groovy, I dont want to settle down to just one.
So what do I want for the future? Well as in the rest of my life I keep an open mind. When opportunities come you have to be willing and open to change. But failing that my general (realistic) view is to finish my current post grad degree: the Legal Practice Course, and move up to the Midlands with my partner and buy a house together. I'll let you in on one personal thing of my life. The person that I am going to move in with has proposed to me twice (the only person to propose to me, even though I have proposed to many many men and women when I was at school- what can I say, I was cheeky!). We are not currently together, although he swears when he was proposing it was merely for 'infomative purposes' (how legal is that?!!). Hmm. But after years of me bouncing about and enjoying my freedom, I am thinking that it is time to be serious and settle down and the one person that I have ever seriously thought about it is him. So now, the clubbing crazy girl is soon to be growing up into a business/mother/wife. Scary how times change isn't it? But all this will probably not start happening until September time so i may just have a few crazy times whilst I wait for my degree to come to an end... |
